Job Description:
– Work as a senior advisor for all technical activities during furniture manufacture process except finishing.
– Check and revise tech pack including technical standard, drawings, routine tickets, bill of materials (BOM) etc. and ensure all technical information are accurate before being handed over production.
– Attend input handover meetings and provide input to ensure safety, quality and efficiency during production process from technical aspect.
– Provide sample workshop and production and subcontractors with necessary technical supports and advices to ensure all samples and products are meeting company quality standards.
– Identify risks of quality and communicate effectively quality assurance manager, quality control manager, production managers and subcontractors to prevent potential quality problems happening in production.
– Communicate effectively with relating line managers and staffs at all levels to ensure follow-up preventative and corrective actions are implemented properly.
– Provide customer service and costing department with needed technical information and data to answer all technical related questions of customers and to improve accuracy of costing and pricing system.
– Work closely with costing department on updating BOM timely once any standard hours, standard price of materials and piecework price is revised and approved.
– Regularly cross check and ensure technical database is being input and updated timely and accurately.
– Work as internal senior trainer for all technical training within company. Regularly provide supervisors and staffs in technical, QA, QC and production departments with needed coaching/
trainings to improve technical issues as well as product quality in whole factory.

Requirements:
– Vietnamese/Expat nationality. Age from 30 to 55.
– To be advised by immediate division director.
– University or college degree in engineering, technical disciplines or furniture design.
– Familiar with using AutoCAD for technical drawing.
– Good knowledge of high end furniture include materials (wood, metal, glass, brass, fabric, leather etc.), upholstery, furniture colour and finishing.
– Knowledgeable of operating wood working machines and related production processes.
– 05+ year professional experience in management in technical or product engineering or sample making in high end furniture manufacturing industry. Familiar with quality standards and requirements in US and European furniture market is preferred.
– 03+ year experience in a similar position in a FDI company.
– Knowledgeable of bill of material system. Experience in costing, time and motion study (TMS) is preferred.
– Familiar with implementing technical database or ERP.
