Job Description
- Perform HR-related duties for the assigned section under supervision.
- Work closely with the QA Manager to create and update SOPs and work instructions for production.
- Conduct audits on existing SOPs and work instructions with the QA Manager and identify gaps.
- Coordinate with the QA Lab Supervisor on new testing requirements in line with applicable standards.
- Complete required reports in a timely manner according to assigned deadlines.
- Review and approve SOP and work instruction reports prior to release.
- Conduct training sessions with relevant departments on standards and SOPs/work instructions.
- Ensure clear understanding of accepted criteria and tolerances for production and QC teams.
- Receive customer complaints and QA/QC audit findings, and support root cause analysis and action plans.
- Propose improvements to enhance overall product quality.
- Train and support new QA team members on quality standards.
- Support establishment of veneer standards for MCP/PCP to ensure acceptable quality ranges.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the QA Manager.
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering or Mechanical-related disciplines
- ISO 9001:2015 training is an advantage
- Knowledge of wood industry standards (FSC, ISO, ASTM, EN) is a plus
- Minimum 5 years of experience in QA with understanding of furniture standards
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the wood working industry
- Good English communication skills (speaking, listening and writing)
- Hands-on, proactive and open-minded team player
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
