Job Description
- Establish, implement, and supervise a complete subcontracting management system in line with company policies and objectives (capacity, ordering, delivery, pricing).
- Coordinate with Technical (TECH) and Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure quality procedures and policies are properly implemented.
- Plan, organize, and monitor delivery commitments/status of subcontracting orders to meet company targets.
- Prepare PR/PO, conduct price comparisons, and release Purchase Orders to subcontractors (SUBCON).
- Work with TECH to set up contracts for subcontracting orders and update/revise contracts when needed.
- Collaborate with Purchasing (PUR) and superiors to source new subcontractors and develop contracts.
- Daily check, follow up, and resolve pending tasks related to subcontracting activities.
- Maintain and update subcontracting documentation (PR/PO/Pricing/Contract/Receipt/Deposit requests, etc.) in the internal VRF folder.
- Establish supplier capacity plans based on annual budget and monthly targets.
- Assess existing subcontractors, identify strengths/weaknesses, and propose action plans for improvement.
- Ensure suppliers are operating at full capacity; inform management when capacities are low or at risk.
- Act as the communication channel between company inquiries and subcontractors.
- Track and detail work related to pricing and PO execution.
- Coordinate with related departments to obtain drawings, samples, templates, quality standards, and product information for subcontractors to quote accurately.
- Work with TECH/Accounting (ACC) to check, upload, and manage SUBCON BOM for price comparison and costing accuracy.
- Arrange and conduct hand-over meetings when needed to review pricing, PO, and related issues.
- Plan weekly/daily releases of Work Orders, PR, and PO to subcontractors.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to meet deadlines/timelines for pricing, PR/PO, and payment requests.
- Set priorities and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Contribute ideas to improve and develop processes, productivity, and subcontracting performance.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on each subcontractor, including pending issues and improvement actions.
- Support team members and other departments; contribute to the company’s vision and objectives.
- Perform other tasks assigned by department head/superiors.
Requirements
- Academic background or professional training in management or technical fields.
- Knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position (subcontracting/purchasing/production coordination).
- Good command of English (listening, speaking, reading, writing).
- Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent management skills: planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional working manner and attitude; confident, mature, and authoritative.
- Honest, diligent, and devoted to work; strong sense of responsibility.
