Job Description
- Manage and supervise all internal and external transportation activities to ensure on-time delivery, accurate quantities, and cost savings.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the line manager.
- Lead and manage transportation staff and drivers: recruitment, training, service attitude, performance evaluation, motivation, delegation, and effective supervision.
- Coordinate vehicles and drivers: arrange routing for in-house fleet and outsourced vehicles to optimize distance and time.
- Monitor routes and trips via GPS to promptly handle incidents such as vehicle breakdowns, traffic jams, and accidents.
- Control transportation costs by monitoring fuel consumption norms, operating costs, freight costs, and regular vehicle maintenance/repair expenses.
- Manage and verify delivery/receiving documents (handover records, invoices, warehouse release forms) to ensure accuracy and legal compliance.
- Work with transportation partners/3PL providers: negotiate freight rates and evaluate service quality of outsourced transport suppliers.
Requirements
- College/University graduate.
- Major in Logistics or Transportation Management.
- At least 4–5 years of logistics experience, including 2–3 years in a leadership/management role.
- Good understanding of Incoterms.
- Familiar with routes within the assigned area.
- Proficient in Excel, transportation management software, and GPS tracking systems.
- Knowledge of road traffic laws and regulations regarding goods transportation.
- Well-versed in international trade documents.
- Strong ability to handle situations quickly, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and persuasion skills (especially when working with drivers).
- Good English skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Familiar with ERP systems.
- Able to use E-cus software.
- Good office computer skills.
