Job Description:
Function
– The Fabric & Leather Specialist will serve as the central point of contact and subject matter expert for all fabric and leather matters across the company. This role ensures that the right materials are sourced, approved, and delivered on time to support the design, development, and production of custom furniture pieces. Working closely with customers, design teams, and production, this position combines technical knowledge with strong organizational and communication skills to deliver outstanding results.
Customer Collaboration

Engage directly with customers during the initial design and development phase to understand fabric/leather needs and preferences.

Provide expert guidance on suitable materials based on design intent, durability, compliance, and aesthetics.
Material Sourcing & Approval

Manage the process of fabric and leather selection, sampling, and approval with customers.

Maintain and expand the company’s materials library to ensure up-to-date offerings.

Source fabrics and leathers globally to meet customer design, budget, and performance requirements.
Procurement & Vendor Management

Handle purchasing of fabrics/leathers for projects where materials are not customer-supplied.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, mills, and tanneries to secure quality and competitive pricing.

Monitor vendor performance to ensure timely delivery and consistent quality.
Quality Assurance & Compliance

Ensure all fabrics and leathers meet the company’s standards and any applicable hospitality industry compliance requirements.

Oversee testing for durability, colorfastness, fire ratings, and other performance specifications as required.
Requirements:
- College/University level/Graduate of any course.
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile, Interior Design, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fabric, leather, or materials management within the furniture, interiors, or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of fabrics, leathers, finishes, and their applications in luxury and hospitality furniture.
- Excellent sourcing and negotiation skills with established supplier network a plus.
- Highly organized with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP or materials management systems a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both with clients and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-driven.
