Production Supervisor

Job Description:
– Manage, supervise and take full accountability for day to day workshop operation in alignment with policies and achieving production targets including output, quality, productivity, efficiency and safety.
– Plan, organize, supervise and ensure workshop operation in alignment with department production plan and achieving production targets on output, productivity, quality, efficiency and safety.
– Supervisor and support below management levels and teams achieving their KPIs/goals.
– Verify and control expenses within approved budgets.
– Check and verify requests for necessary resources for the operation of workshop.
– Instruct, guide and ensure the implementation of company policies and department system including SOPs, work instructions and standards.
– Implement and ensure data update and function run on ERP software.
– Work with HR and ensure implementation of HR operation processes and adherence to rules & regulations within workshop.
– Take ownership on production staffs and workers attitude, retention, engagement, career development progression, health and safety. Recommend talent development and succession plan for below team leaders.
– Provide performance appraisal for below staffs and below team leaders. Approve performance appraisal for workers.
– Recommend hiring, firing, promotion and demotion for below workers, staffs and team leaders.
– Mentor, motivate and ensure subordinates working to their best ability and below teams delivering the highest level of performance.
– Build and promote the atmosphere within workshop that encourages team work, cooperation and engagement.
– Make decisions which relates to daily operation and impacts within workshop under company policies and ensure “company comes first”.
– Suggest changes or actions in where and what workshop needs to improve.
– Collaborate with line supervisors to get thing done effectively and diplomatically.
– Proactively provide risks assessment and implement solutions to prevent problems.
– Work with HR on implementation of training plan approved within workshop.
– Be a working process mentor and technical/engineering advisor within workshop.
– Support and contribute to continuous improvement projects within department.
– Prepare daily and weekly reports on workshop performance.
– Other related tasks assigned by immediate superior.
– To schedule departmental plan (target, deadline, lead time) and ensure that is always aiming at achieving production master plan produced by planning department.
– To follow and keep Production Manager and Planner informed about daily output and any delay to production plan.
– To re-plan and keep Production Manager and Planner communicated on new plan.
– To work closely with HRD, Technical support in regularly training team leaders and workers about safety regulations.
– To enforce and supervise implementation of safety regulations in department and ensure that all worker using personal protection equipment (PPE) in correct way and seriously follow safety regulations at all time.
– To check and suspend workers from their works if finding any danger or not strictly complying with safety regulations and ensure that SAFETY IS FIRST at any time.
– To regularly check and ensure that all first aid boxes and fire fighting equipment in is not obstructed or tampered with, is clearly visible and easy to take in case of accident or fire.
– To support HRD to conduct the labor accident investigation if any strictly implement preventative actions requested from investigation result.
– To personally inspect the items going through department at any time on a regular basis to assure quality.
– To work closely with Q/C and all other departments at all times to assure quality and aim at improving our quality, to achieve production targets and ensure that only the very best delivered to our customers and in the shortest possible time.
– To work closely with technical department for all related technical information and updating timely any changes to ensure everything to be done in the right way at the first time and so at any time.
– Production Supervisor is encouraged to be PROACTIVE in identify problems in department and issuing preventative solutions.
– Production Supervisor also is encouraged to use his/her INITIATIVE in all areas of production and the factory as a whole, and to inform their immediate superior of any concerns or problems that may affect their department or any other part of the company. Production Supervisor should is encouraged to reflect on:
+ Production Techniques
+ Product designs and specification
+ Management
+ Factory and department layout
+ Cutting costs of products and overheads, team building
– To constantly review practices and procedures and guidelines in department to find ways of improving and maintaining quality, increasing productive and accuracy, reducing lead time and production cost…
– To implement new system or project that may be started by management and the board of Directors. For example: – The new CBM monitoring system.
– Daily reports to PM regarding administrative issues and production issues. These are regular reports.
– Report to PM concerns arising, problems, ideas, others. These are irregular reports.
– If needed, report above regular and irregular issues directly to Production Director.

Requirements:
– Good planning skill, organization skill, supervision skill, communication skill and control skill.
– Good leadership skill, motivation skill, training skill and staffing skill.
– To be highly motivated, strong and authoritative.
– Willing to work overtime when it is needed .
– Equivalent to 12/12 or higher.
– Professional training or at least 2 year experience in relevant industry.
– Computer skill (MS word, excel, oytlook) and English speaking skill is preferred.
