- Develop and maintain standard costing models, calculating material, labor, overhead, and logistics costs.
- Update cost databases for price/process changes, perform cost roll-ups, and validate BOMs and routings.
Product Costing:
- Analyze manufacturing costs, monitor standard vs. actual variances, and recommend corrective actions for deviations.
- Prepare product/customer profitability analysis and support make-versus-buy evaluations to drive cost savings.
Cost Analysis:
- Maintain complete and accurate costing data within ERP and other enterprise systems.
- Clean, validate, and reconcile multi-system data while developing automated reports and dashboards.
Data Management:
- Produce weekly/monthly costing reports and management dashboards tracking margins, labor efficiency, and variances.
- Present key findings on material trends, overhead, and product profitability to management.
Reporting:
- Collaborate with Sales on quotations, Purchasing on supplier pricing, and Engineering on design change costs.
- Assist Production in efficiency improvements and participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) costing.
Cross-Functional Support:
- Enhance costing methodologies and automate reporting using Excel models and Power BI dashboards.
- Leverage data analysis to identify process optimization and cost-reduction opportunities.
