Our Story of Craftsmanship and Design

Founded in 2004 by English designer Jonathan Sowter, Jonathan Charles began with just ten craftsmen and a vision to revive the art of fine furniture-making. Today, more than 2,200 artisans and professionals continue this legacy in our state-of-the-art facility in Vietnam, where traditional techniques are preserved and advanced technologies are embraced.
From intricate marquetry and hand carving to bespoke brass hardware cast in our in-house foundry, every detail reflects our dedication to artistry and excellence. Our pieces are created to stand the test of time – furniture made not only to last, but to be remembered.
