As the seasons start to turn, many of us find ourselves struggling to adequately describe the summer of uncertainty we just came through. But hope springs eternal here at Steelyard, as High Point Market is set to open on schedule, October 13-21. And like a welcome breath of normalcy, the buzz coming out of many factories and shops is starting to build.

One brand in particular that is starting to make some noise about their Fall Market plans is Jonathan Charles. Known for their skillfully handcrafted luxury home furnishings, Jonathan Charles Fine Furniture has evolved into one of the most sought-after brands in the fine home furnishings category. And they have multiple new lifestyle collections and stand-alone items premiering in time for October that are really catching our eye!

The first is the Barcelona Collection. This is how their team described it to us: “Barcelona celebrates the interplay of beautiful veneer work, stunning finish techniques and master metalwork in stainless steel with a warm champagne finish along with silver and gold leaf accents. The shaping of the case and seating pieces reflects an appreciation for a clean modern aesthetic while still referencing the historic motifs found in traditional styling.”

As for the Toulouse Collection, our ears perked up when they told us about unexpected applications of walnut veneer and eye catching metal accents. Or maybe it was the expertly applied heritage craft of duck eggshell inlay that got us! Or both!

Either way, we heard enough about both the Barcelona and Toulouse Collections to have the Jonathan Charles showroom (200 N Hamilton) on our must-see list for October. And we haven’t even mentioned the Hamilton Collection! I guess you will just have to join us in their showroom to find out more about that one!
